The Fire Brigade
Kawakawa Bay like many coastal areas in New Zealand is being continually altered by the weather and the encroaching sea . The first Bay as you come from Auckland has a green strip on the seaward side which has been receding dramatically over recent years .The residents of that first Bay have been worried as the grassy area has diminished .
The local community association has been in consultation with the Auckland Council asking for assistance in this matter The council has, after various discussions and meetings with local Iwi , Transit New Zealand and the Historical Places Trust has agreed to help.
At present we await the councils advice together with the Planting Schedule and the specific plants
This problem of receding coastline has been successfully handled at a number of areas throughout NewZealand

RECYCLING BIN - Collection fortnightly on Tuesday. Bin to be kerbside by 7.00 a.m.
INORGANIC RUBBISH - Annual Collection. Date is notified by leaflet 3 to 5 days before the collection is due. You may NOT put out anything until the date and time specified on the leaflet.
